Students from five OACS schools took part in the Durham Regional Speech Festival hosted at Knox Christian School in Bowmanville Feb. 23.
Grade 5-8 students presented on a variety of topics, from Jack Layton and the importance of sleep, to The History of Books and Hiroshima and Nagasaki/Peace.
Participating schools were Scugog Christian School in Port Perry, Northumberland Christian School in Cobourg, Heritage Christian School in Lindsay, Immanuel Christian School in Oshawa, and Knox Christian School.
βIt was a wonderful day as the students shared their God-given gifts of speech,β says teacher Jane Hoogendam.
