ODYSSEY 101 - PBL Essentials
August 22 - 26, 2016
$750 per person
A comprehensive exploration of designing, developing and deploying a project.
Small groups of teachers, led by passionate, experienced and trained Critical Coaches will collaborate and workshop project ideas and practices that will benefit educators for the coming years. A primary grade learning experience is available.
Educators will leave with:
- a clearer understanding of the Project Based Learning process
- unit plans and curriculum they can immediately implement in their classrooms.
ODYSSEY 201 - Digging Deep
August 22 - 26, 2016
$750 per person
To give educators who have some experience with Project Based Learning the time, space and resources to dig deeper.
An opportunity to come as a team of educators to develop a collaborative project around a theme or unit. A science-specific learning experience is available.
Educators will leave with:
- revised and renewed projects
- more ideas for how to design, develop and deploy better projects.
ODYSSEY 202 - Study Hall - 2 Days
August 24 - 25, 2016
$150 per person
For those with Odyssey 101 or 201 experience, this is an opportunity to collaborate with other teachers in a common grade, subject, or topic to develop and refine projects.
Work with a group of teachers and a coach to further project development and project assessment. Participants are invited to attend the Presentations of Learning on August 26.
Educators will leave with:
- a broader network of PBL teachers
- a new or revised project with attention to development and assessment
ODYSSEY 301 - Deeper Learning
August 22 - 26, 2016
$600 per person or
$1000 per team (up to 3)
Giving school leaders an opportunity to discover and renew the best practices needed to support Project Based Learning.
Participants will design and protocol a school-wide PBL strategic plan. This plan will spotlight how to support educators, develop a school leadership team, and utilize learning spaces, throughout the change process.
Leaders will leave with:
- a strategic plan for their school.
