Written on March 26th, 2014

Durham Christian High School (DCHS) Instructor Tammy Dibbits has been named as one of the new Assistant Coaches by the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) for the Women’s Team Ontario.

Dibbits has coached volleyball for the past twelve years at DCHS and within OVA. One of her four experiences coaching with the organization’s Athlete Development Program for Region 4, brought her to the 2014 Ontario Winter Games, where the team earned a silver medal.

Currently, Dibbits is working with the Northumberland Breakers 15U Girls team and will spend a second second summer working at the High Performance Centre.

In her OVA biography, she is described as a coach  “committed to excellence in both volleyball and the personal development of her athletes”.

“I am excited about the future of volleyball in Ontario,” says Dibbits. “Preparing these athletes for the next level is an honour and I am looking forward to creating a challenging environment to propel them towards NTCC Gold and a promising future representing Canada.”

Congratulations, Ms. Dibbits!
