In the latest Calvin Christian School In Touch newsletter, Ted Postma shares in his principal’s ponderings education trends he’s been coming across at recent conferences.
He writes that the most often discussed trends include technology, global education (inclusiveness), green education (from recycling to environmental activism), financial literacy (money management & business skills) and health & wellness (arts, exercises, meditation).
Postma observes that many schools are embracing new technologies, and asks the important question: Should we use technological tools to teach timeless truths?
The short answer, he notes, is yes, as students need to learn how to properly use computer technology.
