Every year, grade 12 students at Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) have the opportunity to participate in a cross cultural mission trip. During the twelve day experience, students are encouraged to respond to the needs of the communities they visit and share God’s love with the people they meet.
This year’s mission trip took the group to Israel, where students toured the Holy Land and partnered with an organization called Bridges for Peace, which seeks to bridge the gap of hurt, distrust and bitterness between Christians and Jews all over the world. The organization’s acts of community service have ranged from repairing the homes of Jewish families, to helping out elementary schools in Karmiel, and aiding victims of war.
