OCS paints bowls for beds
Written
on April 17th, 2014
Along with a few other schools in the area, grades 4-6 classes at Orillia Christian School have been busy painting ceramic bowls this Spring. The students’ colourfully rendered creations will be given away at an annual fundraiser called “Bowls for Beds” on April 27. The soup-tasting extravaganza will feature recipes from local Orillia restaurants and will raise funds for two transitional housing initiatives: Biminaawzogin Regional Aboriginal Women’s Circle and Couchiching Jubilee House. Attendees will receive a painted bowl with the purchase of a $25 ticket.
