The 2013 Edifide Convention will invite Christian educators from across Ontario to re-imagine their classrooms and schools as places for service and learning in God’s kingdom. The convention will begin on Thursday October 23, at Redeemer University College in Ancaster. Author, teacher and PhD recipient, Marilyn Chandler McEntyre, will deliver the opening keynote address at 10:00 a.m.
Convention participants will have the opportunity to explore many spheres of learning, as they participate in sessions about science, Twitter, kindergarten chaos and more.
Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools (OACS) Executive Director, Jules de Jager, will be leading an ELDI workshop for those eager to explore their desire to serve as effective Christian school leaders. And, Chris van Donkelaar, OACS Director of Communications and Information Architecture, will be offering a session on using the eCurriculum platform as a participatory curriculum resource and place for group discussions.
The convention will end on Friday October 24, with a closing keynote address by OACS Director of Learning, Justin Cook, called ‘Seeing through Blind Bartimaeus’ Eyes: Learning for Inward and Outward Flourishing.’
