Durham Christian High School in Bowmanville hosted an assembly Jan. 18 where three staff and 13 students shaved their heads to show support for a Grade 10 student, Wesley Karelsen, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Wesley is undergoing cancer treatments at Sick Kids Hospital, and his peers decided to shave their heads when they heard he was losing his hair due to treatments.
