Last Friday, Timothy Christian School in Owen Sound (TCS) held its first annual Winter Gala Fundraising Dinner. The evening allowed for a time of community building and celebration, says TCS Principal, Matt Bittel. He attributes much of the gala’s success to parents from the school, who spent two days preparing food for the dinner.
The ninety TCS supporters in attendance had the pleasure of hearing Ray Hendriks, OACS Director of School Quality, talk about the value of Christian schools. A musical quartet also sang for guests. The deep roots that run through the TCS community were on display during the event—one member of the quartet was not only a parent of a teacher in the school, but a grandparent of two TCS students as well.
Bittel was excited to report that the gala raised over $10,000 in funds for the school. The generosity of supporters at this year’s gala will help members of the TCS community continue to invest in the school building and in the lives of the students who use it.
