Woodland Students Travel to DR for Service Trip
Fifteen grade twelve students from Woodland Christian High School in Breslau left last week to serve alongside NEXO ministries of Waterloo in the Dominican Republic.
Since their arrival to the DR on Monday, students have been involved in many different areas of service among churches, hospitals, shelters, and schools. Team members were prepared to share the gospel message musically as well as through drama. Within the first three days of their trip, they had already shared their message with over six hundred children.
The student experience was divided between Porto Plata and Santa Domingo. While there, students were able to help Operation Christmas Child with the distribution of shoebox presents to several children and young people, and they packed over fifteen hundred soup mix portions for Project Gleaners.
The team had an amazing time connecting, ministering, and communicating God’s love through games, music, drama and service.
